Michigan Cherry Fudge Brownies with Cherry Chocolate Ice Cream Brownies

Ingredients to make chocolate cherry brownie ice cream.

Here’s a recipe that brings together both iconic and newer Michigan brand favorites.

We made these this weekend and they were absolutely delicious! 🍒

Ice cream and brownie in a small white and blue bowl.

Brownie Ingredients & Directions:

  • 2 boxes JIFFY Mix fudge brownie mix 2 eggs (we were lucky to have local farm eggs this weekend)
  • 4 tablespoons vegetable oil 2 tablespoons cherry juice (water will work well too!)
  • 3/4 cup Cherry Bay Orchards Cherries Jubilee cut into pieces
  • Mix the first four ingredients with a whisk or fork until everything is well incorporated.
  • Add in the cherry pieces and give it a good stir to distribute evenly.
  • Bake according to package directions.

Ice cream ingredients & Directions:

  • 1 can COLD sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 cups COLD heavy cream (we like Guernsey Farms Dairy)
  • 3/4 cup Cherry Bay Orchards cherries jubilee pieces 3/4 cup Alpine Chocolat Haus Gaylord fudge (cut or pulled into small pieces)
  • With your stand mixer or a hand mixer, beat the cold sweetened condensed milk until it doubles in volume.
  • Add in the cold heavy cream and beat until it looks like firm whipped cream.
  • Fold in the fudge and cherry pieces.
  • Spoon into freezer safe containers and freeze for at least eight hours.

To Serve:

  • If the brownies have cooled down, I like to put them in the microwave for about 12 seconds to warm them up just a little bit.
  • Place one brownie in each bowl and add a generous scoop of the ice cream on top. You may need to let the ice cream thaw on the counter for a few minutes to easily scoop it. I didn’t have any on hand this weekend, but a drizzle of Sanders On Mackinac hot fudge would make this even more delicious!

Note: I’ve been making ice cream for a lot of decades now. Think back to the 70s in the backyard yard hand churning with rock salt. 😂 I love my electric ice cream maker. But I have to say, this is the easiest ice cream I’ve ever made in my life. And just about anybody can make it without specialized equipment. I hope you all try this and enjoy what happens when we bring amazing Michigan brands and ingredients together! 🤤
